#Handwara, July 10 : Two women accused of #stealing a newborn baby from Handwara Hospital were arrested by the police on Friday.
According to officials, the baby went missing mysteriously, immediately after its birth from the hospital premises.
As soon as the hospital administration came to know about the theft, it informed the police.
Police swung into action and following the leads, with the inputs from hospital administration, relatives of the baby and those around at the time of the incident, it succeeded in recovering the baby and nabbing the two women, who allegedly are involved in the theft.
A police official, while confirming the incident said that the arrested women are being questioned, after being taken into custody.
The official did not divulge any further into details and said that final details will be shared, after the questioning of the accused woman is over. (CNS)
